You need never have even sat in
the driving seat of a car before to take your first driving lesson with Sussex
Ladies Driving School. You will be taught the very basics right from the start.
If however you already have some
experience, from a few lessons to many or some off-road attempts to
start, stop, turn etc., you can start learning from wherever you are
in your driving ability.
Even after you have passed your
test, there is more you could learn. (See Pass Plus and Refresher Courses)
If you are very nervous, that is
quite normal and understandable. You will not be expected to drive through
town during the rush hour until you and the instructor thinks you are
ready for it (and certainly not in your first few lessons!)
Learning to drive is not always
easy but can be enjoyable and rewarding. Once you have passed your test
you will have the freedom and independence to drive anywhere anytime.
No more waiting for buses in the
rain, carting children and carrier bags home from the shops or depending
upon others for lifts!

PASS
PLUS
Pass Plus is a scheme backed by the Government's
Driving Standards Agency to encourage newly qualified drivers to become
better drivers. Statistics show that as a new driver, you are more likely
to have an accident in the first year after passing your test than at
any other time. Many insurers give a discount to people taking Pass
Plus - equivalent to a one-year no claims bonus.
Pass Plus consists of a course of six training
sessions to follow on from a successful practical driving test. They
cover:
1. Driving in town.
2. Country Roads.
3. All weather driving.
4. Driving at night.
5. Driving on dual carriageways.
6. Driving on motorways.
There is no further test to take; when your driving instructor is satisfied
with your performance you receive a certificate from the Driving Standards
Agency.

REFRESHER
COURSES
You may already hold a full driving license, but want a few lessons
to brush up your skills.
Perhaps you have not driven for
a while, or have recently moved to this area and aren't familiar with
the roads. Maybe you have difficulty parking or lack confidence driving
on motorways. The reasons to take a refresher course can be many.
